Jim Matthews graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. While in law school, Jim worked in the offices of the United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas, the Travis County District and County Attorney, and the Travis County Mental Health Public Defender. After law school, Jim worked at the New Braunfels firm of Hazel Brown Wright Reneau where he served multiple counties and clients in the areas of family and criminal law. In 2015 Jim opened his own practice in Travis County where he focused on criminal and child welfare law. As a former journalist and filmmaker who spent two decades creating stories and seeking the truth, Jim is highly skilled at listening to the details and facts of a case so he can effectively communicate your story. He grew up in Austin and attended the University of Texas where he earned a journalism degree. From there he began an award-winning career as a television sports anchor in California and Texas. After leaving television Jim worked as a media director for Ketchum Public Relations. In 2004, Jim opened his own company producing documentaries, corporate videos, television commercials and reality television shows. Jim also taught journalism for the American Forces Television network. He is the author of a baseball book scheduled for release next May titled “Shine The Light”. He is married and has two sons, one of whom practices personal injury law in Austin.

Griffin Farney is a San Antonio native with deep roots in the community he now serves. He earned his undergraduate degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, graduating magna cum laude.
After college, Griffin returned home to pursue his legal education at St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he was actively involved in campus organizations, including the Personal Injury Law Organization, and served as Captain of the Mock Trial Team. These experiences sharpened his courtroom skills and reinforced his interest in civil litigation.
