Jim Matthews graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. While in law school, Jim worked in the offices of the United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas, the Travis County District and County Attorney, and the Travis County Mental Health Public Defender. After law school, Jim worked at the New Braunfels firm of Hazel Brown Wright Reneau where he served multiple counties and clients in the areas of family and criminal law. In 2015 Jim opened his own practice in Travis County where he focused on criminal and child welfare law. Jim is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the San Antonio Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, the Austin Bar Association, and the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
As a former journalist and filmmaker who spent two decades creating stories and seeking the truth, Jim is highly skilled at listening to the details and facts of a case so he can effectively communicate your story. He grew up in Austin and attended the University of Texas where he earned a journalism degree. From there he began an award-winning career as a television sports anchor in California and Texas. After leaving television Jim worked as a media director for Ketchum Public Relations. In 2004, Jim opened his own company producing documentaries, corporate videos, television commercials and reality television shows. Jim also taught journalism for the American Forces Television network. He is the author of a baseball book scheduled for release next May titled “Shine The Light”. He is married and has two sons, one of whom practices personal injury law in Austin.
Christopher Sharpe is an attorney with experience both prosecuting and defending personal injury cases in the State of Texas. The primary focus of Christopher’s practice is on personal injury defense and first-party litigation.
Christopher is originally from South Dakota, where he attended college and obtained his bachelor’s degree in both Business Administration and Government/International affairs at Augustana University. Christopher graduated Cum Laude in 2018 while also competing as a member of Augustana University’s Track and Field team. He then attended Law School at the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Christopher graduated law school in 2021 and was admitted into Minnesota State Bar.
After graduating law school, Christopher worked for a Judge in Hennepin County (Minneapolis) where he learned valuable lessons which he now applies to his current practice. After his clerkship ended, Christopher worked as in-house counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, where he continued to gain vast experiences in handling and defending personal injury lawsuits.
Christopher is a member of the State Bar of Texas and has experience as both Plaintiff and Defense counsel in the State of Texas. He has knowledge of each side of personal injury litigation which allows him to represent and Defend his clients’ cases efficiently and effectively.
Griffin Farney is a San Antonio native with deep roots in the community he now serves. He earned his undergraduate degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, graduating magna cum laude.
After college, Griffin returned home to pursue his legal education at St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he was actively involved in campus organizations, including the Personal Injury Law Organization, and served as Captain of the Mock Trial Team. These experiences sharpened his courtroom skills and reinforced his interest in civil litigation.
Following law school and admission to the Texas Bar, Griffin joined one of the largest personal injury firms in Texas, where he gained firsthand experience handling high-stakes injury claims and complex litigation matters. That background gives him a unique, insider understanding of how personal injury cases are evaluated, negotiated, and litigated—experience he now uses to strategically defend his clients from the other side of the docket.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Estefan’s journey into law began with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Trinity University in 2015. Eager to deepen his understanding of business and law, he continued his education at St. Mary’s University, where he concurrently pursued a Master of Business Administration and a Doctor of Jurisprudence. In 2018, he was awarded his MBA, followed by his JD in 2019, the same year he was admitted to the Texas Bar.

During his tenure at USAA, he played a crucial role in ensuring the company’s compliance with a myriad of state and federal laws pertaining to real estate transactions.
